Andy and Gemma formed the Real Pressed Seaweed Company to create natural artworks with locally foraged real hand pressed seaweed. They wanted to share the amazing array of seaweeds that wash up on the beautiful Cornish shoreline every day.

They began collecting and hand pressing seaweed as a mindful way of reconnecting with nature. After months of trial and error with many different types of seaweed, textures, colours and paper, Andy finally perfected the process whereby the seaweed fuses fully with the paper, making it look like a watercolour painting.

People are often surprised by the vivid colours, crisp detail, intricate layers and striking shapes Andy makes through the careful selection, arrangement and pressing of the seaweed.

Each seaweed pressing is completely unique and original.
